Giving blood is a simple yet meaningful act that can help save lives. As part of its commitment to social responsibility and employee engagement, PT DIC Graphics regularly organizes a blood donation program in collaboration with Palang Merah Indonesia (PMI). The initiative is facilitated by the company’s HRGA Department, which coordinates and manages the program to ensure it runs smoothly.
In 2026, PT DIC Graphics has scheduled four blood donation activities throughout the year, taking place on February 18, May 18, August 18, and November 16. Through these regular initiatives, employees are given the opportunity to contribute to the community and support patients who require blood transfusions.
The first blood donation drive of the year was successfully held on February 18, just ahead of the Ramadan fasting period. The activity took place in the company’s canteen area, which was carefully prepared to provide a comfortable and well-organized environment for participants. The space was arranged with a registration desk, pre-screening stations, and several foldable beds for the blood collection process, ensuring that the entire activity ran efficiently and safely.
The process began with participants completing a registration form and answering several health-related questions. Providing honest and accurate information during this stage is essential, as blood donation is a medical procedure that requires proper screening to ensure the safety of both donors and recipients.
Following registration, participants underwent a pre-screening process. A small blood sample was taken to check the donor’s blood type and hemoglobin (Hb) level to confirm eligibility for donation. Participants then proceeded with a blood pressure check and a brief consultation with medical personnel before the donation process began.
For this event, the PMI team prepared 100 blood bags to accommodate participating donors. Once the screening process was completed and donors were confirmed to be eligible, the blood collection process was carried out under the supervision of medical professionals.
After donating blood, participants received multivitamins and nutritious refreshments to help restore their energy and support recovery.
Beyond helping patients in need, regular blood donation also offers several health benefits for donors. It can help stimulate the production of new red blood cells, support healthy blood circulation, maintain balanced iron levels, and contribute to overall cardiovascular health.
Through this initiative, PT DIC Graphics continues to promote a culture of care, compassion, and social responsibility within the workplace.
